Hello friends, I haven't posted since... I can't really remember when. the date's prob on the last post but I didn't look at it before writing :P
My first Christmas away from home was a success. A few pre-Christmas mini-breakdowns, but the actual party days were fun family and food filled.
My Christmas surprises were fun. All of the Russo girls got Uggs! yep, I own a pair of grey knitted Ugg boots. (I actually already went through one pair bc the button broke in half and needed a replacement boot) Also LOVE my smashbox makeup. I haven't given myself enough time to get ready for the day to use it for work yet, but I have played around with some of the amazing colors.
Today is New Years Eve. Tomorrow is '010. Is it sad that I feel old already?
I've been captivated by the occult in pop culture. check HERE for more info. pay attention to Lady Gaga.
regardless of any satan worshipping going on by le femme fatale, I will probably purchase The Fame Monster.
Already purchased 'brand new eyes' by paramore. Slower than previous albums, but still makes me wish I was hayley williams.
My favorite ladies at work convinced me to get back on here and post. makeover of blog will commence after this posting :]
Movie of the week: AVATAR. ohmystars I want to live on a glow in the dark planet. So pretty. Such an amazing movie!!

onward and upward
As of Friday Taylor and I made a pact not to eat fast food or soda for the next two weeks. It's been good so far, although we had to decline a dinner date because of it. Part of the reason is that the food is unhealthy and part because we spent way too much money on it. Yes, even healthy fast food (Zupas) is off limits for the next two weeks :( I'd better get a good soup recipe or something to tide me over. I also hopped back on the treadmill. I was consistent for a good three weeks or so but then I ran out of time/energy.
I am achey all the time and I sleep all the time. I guess it's just part of growing up. Maybe I'll get swine flu. That'd be an easy way to lose 10 pounds :P
I got a higher dose of my crazy pills. Doc says this should solve ALL of my problems. I'm excited. for now it just makes me hyper sensitive.
Yesterday I cleaned and did four loads of laundry and made Taylor lunch. I felt accomplished as a wife :]
Today we are going to a married ward. We're pretty much tired of the family ward. Neither of us can relate to anyone there. Our calling is to babysit 14 year olds that don't want to be there anyway. I hope this new ward gives us better perspective.
Movie of the week: Michael Jackson's This Is It. It was actually very good. It was just footage of him rehersing for his upcoming tour and elements of his show. It really shows his character. He would always emphasize love whether criticizing or praising. It was also cool to see his collection of talented individuals. His guitarist is this amazingly talented and cute young Australian girl who is apparently Santana's prodigy. I recommend it to anyone who appreciates his legacy.
Song of the week: More by Bobby Darin. Malloree burned me a copy of The Legendary Bobby Darin in 9th grade and it was love at first listen. I haven't had a copy since I moved to Utah so I finally bought it off itunes last week. It really is the ultimate 'feel good' music. There will always be a special place in my heart for big band jazz.

Shorter hair, red is back
this isn't the most awesome picture, but I don't have time for a photoshoot so this is from my laptop webcam. My hair ends at the bottom of the picture. The highlights on the other side are much better
and not so 'patch of redness.' Maybe I'll fix that later. Hopefully I'll take real pictures but Chiara wanted to see so this is for her :) I ran into a friend today and he asked me if my hair was permanent or for Halloween... I guess my hair is black and orange now... haha :) Lovies!!

so I know I've been a bum about this. I haven't even been on to read any so sorry Chiara for neglecting you! I saw that you have several posts and I just wanted to let you know I read them :] you are also an amazing photographer!
The weather here is incredible: chill breeze, leaves of every color still wet from last night's showers, snow on the mountain peaks...
for those of you who love me enough to read my ramblings, here are some funny pics

more beginnings
Long time no post! not really sure if anyone reads this, but I do have things to talk about so I figured I would.
Yesterday my wonderful husband bought me a treadmill! I have phobias about exercise and gyms that I have struggled with. Now I can exercise whenever I want! I really need to get healthy/in shape.
This morning after using my awesome treadmill ( in front of my 47" tv) I dyed my hair. It's called natural darkest. It's basically black. I like it- I've wanted to go really dark for awhile now. Taylor thinks it's hott. he teases me about being goth now, though... I'm just excited I get to wear cool colors again! grey and hot pink here I come!
my new meds are awesome. life is so much easier when everything in you is working properly.
music artist of the week: Adele. my new resolution includes happier music. her music isn't necessarily happy, but it's soulful and beautiful and truly artistic. plus I have a soft spots for Brits
movie of the week: monsters vs. aliens. All star voice cast was enjoyable even if the story was lacking. Moments of humor, political references, and a good moral make this animated movie deserving of 'adorable'
RSL vs. BYU soccer tomorrow :]
p.s. happy 5 months to my love. I am definitely a lucky girl!!

Moving Day
Long time no ramble, huh?
Summer semester ended last thursday. We now have two weeks of break before Fall semester. It's weird seeing all of the facebook statuses about moving back to college to start over again. I don't have to do that. Going to school is just a part of my life, not all of it. I'm looking forward to the time off from school. My wonderful husband is taking my hours at work half of this week so that I can stay home and do some much needed cleaning... and probably thank you cards from our wedding presents. I hope it hasn't been too long to be unacceptably late!
Yesterday our favorite people (Ryan & Tara) moved from their apt in Pleasant Grove to an apt in Provo. It's awesome they live 5-10 min away now instead of 20ish :] We got to help them move most everything. Then we came back later and helped Tara unpack and organize things. It was great to help them out so much. I even carried couch pieces up flights of stairs :] I had almost forgotten my OCD tendencies about organizing. I find it extremely fun to organize shirts by color and movies by alphabet, haha. The reason my own house is a mess is because I'm lazy. This next week I plan on doing some deep deep cleaning. Our apt is too nice to be looking so grody.
Sometimes it amazes me how good Taylor is at video games. I'm not going to lie, I get jealous sometimes. I tried Rainbow 6 the other day. I kept getting shot while reading the prompts on how to play, haha. He just downloaded portal yesterday. He beat the game while I was sitting there - in about two hours. I'm excited to play it. It seems like the kind of game I'd enjoy- nerdy and slightly creepy :]
I've also recently gotten into horror movies. I mostly hated the ones I saw because I either watched the stupid violence ones (friday 13th) or the I hope that doesn't happen to me ones (the strangers). I do enjoy the ones with creative deaths, though (I give props to Final Destination 2). Lately I've found a type of horror movie that I approve of. The ones that keep you guessing the whole time and have a point to them. Either that or a completely surprise ending. The ones I watched were Saw and Cry_Wolf. I can't wait to see the rest of the Saw movies :] did you know they're making 7 of them? Blockbuster guy told me.
Craving of the week: Golden Oreos. The box is almost gone. so addicting. so good.
I dyed my hair dark about two weeks ago. It lightened quicker than I anticipated, but I think that's because the color was so different and it still had red in it. I'll probably dye it before school starts a dark brown without the red higlights and see how long it lasts (I even have expensive shampoo to make sure it doesn't fade, geez). I'm also a happy camper now- finally found a dosage that works for me! yay for modern medicine.
also no one wants to buy our truck for what we want for it... we'll probably end up keeping it through the winter afterall.

High Fashion
I have been designing clothes since I was a little girl. Dress-up was my favorite game. I started a silk scarf collection just because it made me feel couture. The other day I got out my scarf collection to see if I should sell it or give it to my little sisterinlaw to wear. I found I was still very very attached to those scarves. Bottom line: the world is beautiful to me because of color and texture. I feel I have a knack for manipulating those and need to see them. So yesterday I looked up some pics from couture runway shows. I get so excited looking at them! not just because they're beautiful, but because they are genius. There is a science as well as an artform in high fashion that I appreciate. I feel like a little boy looking at naughty pictures when I find one especially revolutionary. I started a collection of beautiful things I found and organized them in my photobucket. Now when I am lonely or art starved I can look at them and marvel at their
beauty or look at them and break them down scientifically and create ideas for my own designs.
favorite-> I've always been a sucker for big flowing dresses :] it kinda looks like my bedspread...

I really need a sewing machine.
